  • Inspire community members to become active leaders.
  • Provide networking opportunities to build relationships that foster goodwill and a spirit of cooperation.

APPLICATION FOR LEADERSHIP LOOMIS PROGRAM

Preference will be given to applicants who live or work in the Loomis Area. Applicants must be at least 21 years of age to go through the program. All applications will be handled in the strictest confidence. Consider optional any questions you feel will not significantly add to the committee’s knowledge of your qualifications. Please be brief in your responses. Finalists will be selected and interviewed based on application material submitted. All interviews will be conducted by a selection committee.

Curriculum -The Loomis Leadership Program focuses on developing and enhancing leadership skills and provides exposure to a wide range of community issues including • History of Loomis • Transportation • Human Services • Future of Loomis • Recreation • Regional Planning • the Arts • Utilities • Government • Public Safety • Education • Infrastructure • Economic Development • Health Care • Loomis Civics • Tourism

Participation

In order for the Loomis Leadership Program to accomplish its stated goals, the full participation of each individual is necessary. Participation as a team member in a class project is a requirement of the program as are the guidelines stated below:

More than two absences during the program year will result in being dropped from the program with no tuition refund

Full participation is a requirement for graduation.

I understand and agree with the schedule and participation requirements.

Mandatory attendance at one Loomis Town Council Meeting and one commission meeting of your choice

Late arrival or partial attendance at any session in excess of three occurrences will result in being dropped from the program with no tuition refund.

Application Deadline (Applications must be received in the Chamber of Commerce office by August 16th, 2021. Applicants who qualify for the final selection process must be available for a mandatory interview.
