Fire-Smart Expo & Garden

Learn how simple landscaping choices can help reduce wildfire risk during a free Fire-Smart Expo at the new demonstration garden at the South Placer Fire Protection District Station 18 in Loomis.
The event will help the community learn about:
• Creating defensible space around homes and other structures
• Reducing fire pathways
• Proper pruning and mulch placement
• Fire-smart, water-wise plants suited to local conditions
The event is hosted by the UC Master Gardeners of Placer County, South Placer Fire Protection District, Placer County Water Agency, the UC Cooperative Extension, Green Acres Nursery & Supply, Placer County Fire Safe Council, and Anderson’s Sierra Pipe.
