South Placer Fire Department

Founded in August 2008, 5280Fire started as a collaborative blog created by a small group of metro-area fire buffs who wanted to share their passion for fire scene photography. What began as a grassroots project has grown into a respected volunteer-run platform that documents emergency responses, honors first responders, and provides valuable historical and training content. Our team operates with the same relentless dedication as the crews we follow, responding day or night, in all conditions, purely out of passion—not for ratings or recognition. Today, under the leadership of longtime contributor Rick Luebke, 5280Fire continues to stay true to its roots while evolving to better serve the fire community, and we remain deeply grateful to the supporters who have been with us every step of the way.
